ABOUT FLIGHT OF ICARUS

FLIGHT OF ICARUS began in 2016 when multi-instrumentalist Oskar Frantzén discovered the remarkable voice of Elisabeth Särnefält Rösehag. What was intended as a single collaboration quickly became a long-term musical partnership built around the contrast between immediate pop melody and cinematic metal.

Across three albums – Flight of Icarus, Cleo and Terra Nova – the Swedish duo have combined expressive vocals, orchestral arrangements, heavy guitars and a strong sense of storytelling. Their sound can move from uplifting melodic rock to expansive symphonic metal without losing its emotional centre. The result is distinctive, dramatic music for audiences who value both accessibility and atmosphere.
